What the heck is NaNoWriMo?

Updated: Feb 20

Glad you asked! I mean, that word isn't really a word; it's an acronym. Sounds like a strange animal or a disease. Even the acronym is a puzzle to the lips. Break it up, it phonetically it's Nah-No-Rye-Moe, say it faster, yep everyone does it until they don't.

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, but that just doesn't fit well in a hashtag. Every November, this happens where writers come together to produce 50,000 words (a novel) in 30 days. It's a sport; it's a personal competition because we writers are badass. Can't you see the carpel tunnel wraps, cups of coffee, bags under our eyes? Oh, yea, it's on!

So what am I writing this year? I'm working on Sacred, the final book in The Unwanted Series. I feel the final book will be over 50,000 words, just a hunch based on my outline. If you're a new writer or well seasoned and joining NaNoWriMo, send me a buddy invite! Tribes are important, that whole accountability and cheering section.

If you're a reader, just wait for all the new content is coming your way. It's the overhaul jam, usually in springtime, just in time for summer.
